For two weeks I taught English to children from the age of 10-13 using a variety of linguistic games supported by structured lessons tailored to the ability of the students. Using the English they had learnt I directed the students in a showcase at the end of the week in which they sang and spoke in English. During these two weeks I stayed with two different host families, which allowed me to fully immerse myself in Italian culture, while adjusting quickly to a new environment.
This challenging position required a comprehensive knowledge of all available products which I successfully grasped quickly, whilst developing my personal sales skills in a competitive environment.
I taught and directed 11-13 year olds on Saturday mornings from 9am until 12.30pm. I planned out warm-up exercises and improvisation games each week and helped the children to devise their own plays, as well as providing a more hands on directorial role in the process of creating a piece which would then be performed to an audience at the end of each term.
This position involved taking, editing and selling photographs for the Santa’s Grotto, Ice Rink, Snow Slide and Snow Globe. During my employment, I regularly achieved the highest weekly sales amongst my colleagues, due to my consistent motivation and positive attitude.
I have worked efficiently in a team to offer an excellent quality service to customers as a cashier, shop floor assistant and lead taker. Due to my consistent hard work and enthusiasm I have been promoted to a senior cashier role, for which I have now become responsible for banking and pay roll, as well as taking a supervisor role on the front end, where I am responsible for price changes and refund authorisation.
