About me
My name is André Miguel Silva, i´m 26 and i´m portuguese.
My motivation in life is to experience life itself in the best way i can. And by
saying this i don´t mean that i always do what i love to do. I think we have to
be able and prepared to embrace all kind of situations and get the best of it.
Even when it´s hard enough to let you down.
But, as an ancient chinese proverb says: If you fall seven times, stand up eight.
Traveling is one of my passions, and that is something that you learn from yourself and with
the people you meet along your way.
Meeting people is another part of the process, while traveling. Changing ideas, thoughts,
concepts, diferent styles of life, behavors, and above all, sharing pure knowledge.
That´s why i do not see me working in any other area, beside advertising, marketing and
communications.
They work as a discipline to know the world and the people, and that´s where i see my passion
reflected.
My choices drove me to study adverstising and marketing. I graduate and then i made a posgraduation in the same area in the Superior School of Social Communication (ESCS). Before
this, i studied one year Cinema, Video and Multimedia Communications in Lusófona University
(ULHT).
Right now i´m an account executive in a Digital/Relational Marketing Agency (Wunderman).
Social Networks are my focus, but i have "offline" accounts.
Beside my passions, i like photography and bodyboarding. For me bodyboarding is one of the
few sports where you can put youself mentally and fisicaly to the test. You just have to choose
and wait for the right conditions and adapt. And it can work like therapy, if you´re feeling really
tired, stressed or worried, i can guarantee that in the moment you paddle to the first wave, it
erases everything in your mind. So basically, this sport, helps you to be one of the happiest
person on earth.
I love adverstising, marketing and communications and i want to work and share my passion with people who share the same passion as i do.
