INTERIOR & PRODUCT DESIGNERLondon, United Kingdom
About me
My name is André Ventura. I Live in London where I’m working for NORDSHAPE as a Senior Designer, Assistance Manager and CNC Technician. If you want to know more check my website: www.andreventura.com I am responsible, ambitious, and helpful, with friendly attitude. I work well alone as much as I am a good team player. I have been gaining work experience since I was sixteen years old I spent my childhood in Sintra, Estoril and Cascais which always put me in spaces where the beauty and quality come together with the idea of an enchanted place and mysticism that lasts in time, but also full of history. I graduated in Design (Product & interior) at Universidade Lusofona De Humanidades e Técnologias (ULHT), Portugal, in 2007. As a Designer student I acquired practical knowledge and developed my skills with special emphasis on product production & Concept, interior planning & concept, visual communication and marketing strategies. Some of the works were made in partnership with some factories such as BA (Glass), ICEL (Steel), DEMOVAVE (Kitchens), SPAL (Porcelain). After earning my graduation, I started working as a Designer at ARCHMOVE where I had the opportunity to develop my skills not only as designer but also as project manager, as I was responsible for the Design Department. At the same time, I was working in part time at CONTINENTE, where I had the opportunity to perform administrative duties since I was cashier supervisor and seller. I also built up on my team work and leadership skills. After that, I secured a position as Head Designer at ARCHMOVE where I performed regular design activities, such as graphic & web designer, product & concept development, interior & brand designer. I quit from my part time at CONTINENTE because I was invited to be Administrator at SKINLIKESILK. In here, my main duty was to develop the company brand, products and visual identity but also to plan and implement marketing strategies in order to meet the company goals. I believe this was a very important experience as I was in the company since its foundation and it allowed me to implement creative marketing strategies in conjunction with the company directors. At the same time, I performed administrative duties such as financial control, product management and built up on my customer relationship skills which I believe is of extreme importance as it allows me to understand better the costumer concerns and needs. After a year, I helped SKINLIKESILK move to London and I started working at LEROY MERLIN as a Design Consultant, Showroom Seller and Stock Manager. Also usually do product research, analysing sells, create different channels for selling. I had straight connection with ceramic production such as GRESCO and REVIGRES. I stopped working for LEROY MERLIN to move to London here started work at NORDSHAPE. Here I deal production of bespoke products and define standard production for some products. . From order to final product I do sketch, 3d visualizations, cutting lists, orders, draw and cut pieces for
