- ParticlesParticles is the project for an interactive installation that makes use of a vvvv patch on a pc and the app Kontrolleur on Android smartphones. The installation is set in an exhibition space. Before entering the venue, visitors are encouraged to install the app on their smartphones. The room that hosts the installation has poor illumination. - Awareness ScaleAwareness scale is the project for an installation that explores the influence of information on people's experience of the world. The concept of different layers of awareness inspired by psychiatric Eric Berne's work is linked to the effect that information can have in hindering our perception of the world. A tree is enclosed by two concentric transparent walls; under the tree there are benches. On the walls there is text that provides facts related to that particular kind of tree. Visitors can either stay outside of the walls or try to get close to the tree through the walls to the tree that are here translated in different kind through the gaps in the walls. Does the presence of information influence visitors and stop them from enjoying the public space? Is information perceived as an hindrance to a direct experience of the space?
- EnòdeoEnòdeo is the project for a tangible interface that allows video composition and live manipulation of video contents. The project started from the realisation that these practices are characterised by a low involvement of the user's physical sensitivity. Enòdeo enables to interact with contents through a set of actions that consist of distinct physical movements and involves different objects. The act of compositing becomes intuitive. The interface offers a clear vision of the status of the performance and an immediate feedback of the actions on the contents. The act of compositing also gains the characteristics of an artistic performance and enables a direct relationship with the audience.
