- Hunter Douglas HospitalityDesign Firm: Arquitectonica Collaborators: Christine Zavesky Client: Hunter Douglas Hospitality Custom line of window coverings for the hospitality division of Hunter Douglas, a Dutch manufacturer. The line was approached from an architectural standpoint, considering not only the interior reading of the window coverings, but their exterior appearance as well. The result was a versatile, universal system that married form with color to yield an indoor and exterior presence. The project was organised into two lines, the “Vibrants” and “Neutrals” collections. Precedent research, color and form studies, elevations and renderings were produced. An Asset Identification System and Artwork Formatting Guidelines were created for the client to efficiently manage provided assets and tailor artwork for mass production. The collection received the 2013 Award of Excellence for Textiles at the 17th Annual IIDA/HD Product Design Competition, and was a finalist for the 2013 Interior Design Best of Year Awards.
- Engle Building RedevelopmentDesign Firm: Arquitectonica Collaborators: Hira Sabuhi Client: Main Highway LLC Modernisation of a series of buildings that constitute an entire city block in the heart of Coconut Grove — the oldest modern continuously-inhabited neighbourhood of Miami, FL. The buildings, historic 1950’s structures, will play roles as future centers of commerce within the neighborhood. Modernisation features include facade recoloring, new awnings, building signage, and tenant signage standards. When completed, the buildings will be unified under new names: One Main Highway, The Blue Building, and Village Shops. The project is currently underway.
