Assisting Marc Hibbert on shoots has enabled me to gain a real insight into the realities of working in the creative industry. Setting up the studio: technical equipment, lighting and back- drops has not only allowed me to gain crucial practical skills, but also showed Marc that I am relaible and can fulfil the responsibilities that have been set out for me. Additionally, work- ing with industry professionals has widened my network of contacts,and has let me learn from and work alongside creative minds as part of a
team to fulfil a shared goal.

In this role I supported residents with any problems or queries that they had. I had to think quickly on my feet and respond using my best judgement in order to help them. The role also involved planning, organising and holding enjoyable events with a budget, for up to a hundred residents to attend. As a result, I was able to tap into my creativity and I carried out various exciting events that benefited the students. I was always able to do this without going over the agreed budget.
