Okay. I admit it. I am a fine artist. One of my projects is my blog on tumblr, please follow me by copying and pasting the link: http://howbenefitgalworks.tumblr.com Being creative, innovative, informative, aesthetic, approachable and fun. Design follows function, art defines and innovates. Yes, I have had a rather full and fluid career in creativity, with only until graduation from UCS realising my direction. "If you get dealt lemons, make lemonade" - Joan Collins. "Enthusiasm spells the difference between mediocrity and accomplishment" - Norman Vincent Peale. Proudly, I am well known locally in the creative circles for my high standard of presentation skills, I was voted by ALL the lecturers at University Campus Suffolk to write a speech and deliver a Thank You speech on behalf of the Graduates. Amongst my creative skills and administration skills, I have great writing skills, image-making, social media and my collection of historically relevant local arts information. Currently amongst many projects I am working on I am collating information and subjects relevant to the Arts Building of University Campus Suffolk to develop into a published book. In my spare time I volunteer as a Trainee Leader of Guides at 29th Ipswich Guides and Brownies in Cavendish Branch in Ipswich. As an Auntie I am proud to be engaged completely in the role with my niece Gracie. In my studies and onwards I have read about the mirror stage by Lacan, being able to witness the developments of my niece in this crucial development is particularly interesting. I regularly take her to art galleries and engage with her in painting, playing and learning through practice. I confess, yes, I have been on benefits and being able to make the progress I have, I could not have achieved had I not received such vital support. Ready to pay back and contribute, I just wish there were more open minded and entrusting employers.
Invigilating meaning to make the space a safe space, engage with visitors, make the space appealing and promote the work as a local artist with such a great resource at Ipswich's doorstep. In the role I hope to experience and share experiences with people, I am very fond of people and in particular those who are curious about art and arts in general.
In this role I make presentations, mock interviews, what's my line events, Q&A's to all ages of children. I love promoting the arts and design and igniting little sparks and planting seeds in these young and open minds. It is exciting, I never know where I will be next!!
As a member of the studios I partook in leading Art Fairs, images and updates on the Facebook page and creating posters for promotions.
Creating videos for arts organisations and some family events of personal images to DVD for a good cost. I also have images I have created for sale, and I create performance art works.
I was a volunteer for IBC to assist them in delivering their commitment to the Ipswich ReCreate project. In the role I assisted in creative direction and marketing as well as fielding applications from creative enterprises in using the space-for-purpose using an application form that I created. For some of the space I was given a budget to buy in pieces for decor and atmosphere.
Fine arts specifically conceptual art. I gained a 2:1 BA (Hons)
Conceptual Architecture Design
TV, Exhibition, Interior and Theatre Design
In my work at IBC I volunteered my time to support their commitment to the Ipswich ReCreate project. I worked as part of the team in events and entertainments and co-0rdinated a number of initiatives that have lasted and created images for marketing.
