About me
In my practice I am drawn to the qualities of touch, memory, echo and capturing a moment in time. My work focuses on the interaction of material, process and maker to expose the traces left behind, by the hand or the presence, as journey to reveal a work.
I use a variety of processes; forging, printing and indenting, and a variety of materials; steel, copper, paper, ink and porcelain, to produce outcomes which are realised in naive, irregular and tactile forms.
My inspiration comes from a timeless existence growing up in a timber-framed farmhouse full of the histories of its makers and inhabitants.
