Anna Butterworth

CEO & FemTech Marketing ExpertLondon, United Kingdom
About me
Anna Butterworth is a FemTech pioneer. She has been at the epicentre of the industry for over six years - before the term was even coined. Starting her career in PR she quickly found her calling in wider creative campaign strategy and moved through cause led organisations that support marginalised communities and promote their voices. Landing at Elvie in 2015 she was the first communications hire and quickly grew the brand across 60+ territories leading the way in FemTech marketing strategy. Since branching out to create the world's first FemTech focused creative agency Ultra Violet, she has worked with global disruptors such as Thinx, Become, Doppel, Wuka, Mooncup, Womanizer, Soho House, The Eve Appeal and more. Forging new paths and being the very first on the scene is in the fabric of Anna’s being. Not one to settle for the status quo, she consistently breaks barriers to test the waters for the latest innovation or venture. From securing the first live televised feature from a woman’s vagina (ITV This Morning), producing the very first inclusive sex chat show Private Parts (Venus Libido X WowTech) or curating the first above the line ad campaign on Oxford Street for period pants (Thinx launch in Selfidges), Anna is never afraid of pushing the industry forward, whatever it takes. The latest venture brings future forecasting to the industry in a way that has never been done before.

The Future of Cycle Care 2022The first trend report on the cycle care industry, The Future of Cycle Care 2022 by Ultra Violet Futures, shows the field maturing and moving away from simply tracking periods and crossing into lifestyle, wellbeing and healthcare markets. We anticipate that cycle care will begin to permeate through multiple consumer touch points by next year. We identified four primary trends and sub-themes that define them. Each micro trend is illustrated by a pioneering brand leading the way in this new mar

This year they have partnered with Plastic Oceans UK to raise awareness around their research on Plastic Rivers. They asked me to create this poster and a few stickers that were posted on the back of hundreds of toilets around the country.

  • Private Parts
Private PartsWe all have that one, extremely trusted, friend we turn to for advice about our private parts; there’s wine involved, and we’ve done some pretty awkward demonstrations, but we trust them to reassure us that we aren’t crazy. Well, now that friend is Venus, and her merry band of amazing guests. Expect free-flowing, raucous, spit-your-tea out stories that are there to reassure you that all the issues you’ve ever experienced pre, during or post-sex are completely normal. Private Parts is a safe sp
