Projects
  • PERRICONE MD - MOBILE NAVIGATION
PERRICONE MD - MOBILE NAVIGATIONClick here to preview in InVision: https://invis.io/7M5AU0R8K For best experience go to the link above on your mobile and select 'Preview in Browser'. Click on the Menu, Skincare, Shop by Product, Moisturizers, then click on the logo to start again. Old Navigation: - 4 levels to navigate through is too many for the user flow - The way the menu comes in as an overlay looks awkward - ‘Shopping Bag’ isn't needed. Customer behaviour has changed and users are used to clicking on the familiar shopping bag icon in the header - ‘Help’ is not a clear call to action - ‘My Account’ and ‘Sign in’ link to the same page - From our research the search box is the most used feature on the site and is hidden when the Navigation is open - There is no way to quickly get back to home if the user doesn’t know to click on the Logo Design - The design is cluttered with unnecessary icons New Navigation: - Reduced to maximum of a 3 level navigation - New sleek css transition where the navigation slides in from the top and slides right as the user navigates through. Similar to Net a Porters site - Based from data a complete rethink of relevant CTA’s - Home button has been added and will always be the top CTA - ‘Help’ has changed to ‘Customer Service’ which is a more familiar CTA - ‘My account’ and ‘Sign in’ have been combined to just ‘My Account’ - The search box is now available in the menu - Overall simplified look and feel
  • PERRICONE MD - MOBILE HOMEPAGE
PERRICONE MD - MOBILE HOMEPAGEThe brief was to redesign the Perricone MD mobile homepage and footer to make it more visually appealing and to improve user experience. Click here to preview in InVision: https://invis.io/YU5AU2V95 For best experience go to the link above on your mobile and select 'Preview in Browser'. Click 'Shop by Product' to see drop down menu unfold. Click again to see it fold back. Click on the logo to see the full length homepage in InVision. Old Homepage: - Image heavy, slow download on 3G speeds and bad for SEO - Top image is too small and hard for the user to read – need a new way to display promotion - Hard to find where to get started for new customers - No brand information, sales focused New Homepage prototype: - 3 slider Hero Carousel (Promotion, Launch, Content) - Separate text box to clearly display supporting copy - More relevant banners ie ‘New’ and ‘Exclusives’ based on data from Crazy Egg heatmaps - Researchers go to ‘Dr Perricone’, wanting to learn more about the brand - Ability to display a navigation from key banners as quick links
  • PERRICONE MD - TEXT HEAVY PAGES ON MOBILE
PERRICONE MD - TEXT HEAVY PAGES ON MOBILEThe brief was to redesign existing Dr Perricone page and additional: About, Patented Sciences, Books, Philosophy and Diets to match the desktop site - www.perriconemd.co.uk. Click here to preview in InVision: https://invis.io/NV5AZWX7M To preview all Dr Perricone pages click on the Menu, Dr Perricone, About, go back (click on the image or bottom of the page), click on Patented Sciences, go back, click on Books, go back, click on Philosophy, go back, click on Diets. Old Perricone MD Pages: - Current design links through to a very text heavy page. New Perricone MD Pages: - I have created a template with new styling, to break down the text heavy content and used imagery to engage customers.
  • GAME STORYBOARDS
GAME STORYBOARDSDesigning storyboards for an interactive ad experience, for “Inside Out”, a new movie from Pixar Animation Studios, released by Walt Disney Pictures. Working with Paul Maynard, Creative Director of Irresistible Films, I created story boards for an ad - game that would interact with the user's facial expressions (smile, anger, disgust). For example, in the Joy game, the more the user would smile, the higher Joy would jump, scoring lots of points. The aim of the game was to engage users with the movie characters and encourage them to purchase cinema tickets.
  • ANNUAL REPORT
ANNUAL REPORTThe brief was to design an interesting community report for the city of Footscray, a diverse and multicultural suburb of Melbourne, Australia. I designed the linked letters for the headings to represent people form various backgrounds coming together. This theme is amplified by a pattern of links, guiding the reader through the pages and displaying statistics and numbers in an engaging way. The colour pallet reflects vibrancy and growth. 2 day project at Shillington College
  • SOUND ART FESTIVAL
SOUND ART FESTIVALThe brief was to design branding for a sound art festival. I was inspired by Nigel Stanford’s cymatics show. Cymatics is the science of visualising audio frequencies with matter such as water and sand. The logo references the shapes formed by sand placed on a speaker, while Nigel played various tones through it. VIM means energy and enthusiasm and therefore was fitting as a name for the festival. 2 day project at Shillington College
