I am an enthusiastic and committed individual that takes pride in my impeccable organisation, attention to detail and creative initiative. Having since finished my BA (Hons) Press & Editorial Photography degree at Falmouth University I now intend to use both my experience and knowledge within the profession to begin a career in the creative industry looking particularly at working within Photography Agencies. My confidence and charismatic ability to work alongside a group of fun, alike minded professionals, has continued to develop throughout my experiences working as both an editing assistant and a photographic intern within a variety of unique positions. At Cartel Photos we are introduced to the professional environment of a photo agency. Learning the initial steps within Cartel including archiving and key wording new features to then be sent to larger agencies in London such as REX Features. Development of my skills in Adobe Creative Suite. As a photographer for Cartel Photos, I was commissioned for various shoots throughout my three years at University whilst strengthening my knowledge of a growing picture desk. My relationship with Cartel Photos provided me with the platform to be published in some of The UK’s leading newspapers and worldwide online news aggregators. - Published in The Telegraph (Print), The Guardian (Print and Online) and The Huffington Post (Online) – February 2013 - Exhibited at Calumet Photographic, Drummond St. London as part of LEVNA Collective – April 2013
- Working along side a professional photographer, assisting on shoots both in the studio and on location. - Organising calendar events, writing up transcripts and expenditures for personal projects. I assisted Maja on various shoots around central London and became responsible for managing her busy schedule both in the studio and on location organising transport within her busy schedule.. My role also involved transcribing from the short notes made on personal interviews as well as processing expense receipts and designing detailed excel documents to track spending.
- Extremely experienced with communicating with the general public. - Being able to work under extreme pressure in a busy and fast paced environment. - Working within a committed department devoted to Customer Care. Working at Legoland Windsor Guest Services I utilised all the skill I had learnt whilst working at Venture Photography but now in an increasingly fast and unpredictable environment. At Legoland Windsor I am presented with demanding scenarios such as dealing with irate guests, however I work well and respond quickly in stressful situations whilst remaining patient. Working completely independently, challenging situations becomes apparent especially when dealing with disabled children and adults but I am both confident and coherent with the standard of service I continue to give to the guests. Guest Services is a particular role that requires excellent customer services, constant working knowledge of the park and up selling with innovative and fast moving ideas. Working at Legoland Windsor really strengthens my innate passion for working with the public, and providing each guest a personal and memorable experience remaining cheerful and motivated throughout a twelve-hour shift.
- Working in a professional studio in Brixton, London. - Three day work Experience with Photographers, Project Managers and Visual Communicators. - Assisting on a Photography and Multi-media shoot for a external client. The experience I gained at SAS London gave me a great amount of confidence in giving advice and creative criticism. I had to adapt my skills as communication was key between only the team and no longer just with the client. As the client was not present we had to deliver a visually exciting and professional shoot to present the following day. We worked at a fast pace in order to get everything shot, working to a strict deadline but delivering the highest standard possible.
Venture Studios is the UK’s largest portrait photographer and is continuing its growth internationally with studios spanning over three continents. Main Responsibilities: - Delivering a professional and consistent product with high customer service skills.. - Editing down a shoot of 400 images to just 50 with extensive postproduction knowledge. Working at Venture Photography in 2011 I developed the necessary skills needed in a professional photographic environment where attention to detail is vital to ensure high quality products are produced. Communication and organisation skills were vital and with my confidence and enthusiasm, it meant that within any situation I provided a positive customer experience. As part of a small team of six Photographers, being both independent and supportive was necessary. My main responsibilities were focused around the consumers, offering excellent customer services both as an assistant editor and as a contact point for any queries.
