About me
Hello!
I'm a freelance designer/illustrator currently looking work. I have tons of experience especially in print. I am currently freelancing at Harper Collins in their children's department and Rhubarb Food Design as their marketing designer. Some of my recent projects at Harper are a Narnia colouring book where I've used existing artwork to make patterns and designed and laid out the entire book within a tight time frame. I've also designed the new Cecelia Ahern children's cover. At Rhubarb I've been working on a series of high profile event, involved in pitch work, styling and marketing.
Previous to that I was freelancing in the adult fiction and non-ficiton departments. I have worked as a full time designer in the Simon and Schuster and Hodder and Stoughton, adult art departments and at Hallmark as a greeting card designer.

- D&AD Illustrated bookRobbery, murder and drug smuggling, inspired by meeting my long lost uncle, Satnam Singh Sandher this book is based on his life as a gangster. it is a pastiche of an indian passport and follows his illegal movements through asia. The illustrations are based on the stamps, visas, illustrations and marks in all passports. They are primarily type based and it is these that convey the narrative of his life.
- Greeting card designDesigning commercial greeting cards and packaging. Client: Hallmark - (Asda, Morrisons and Next, ensuring designs are appropriate to the different consumers.) Working on both strict and open briefs, taking into consideration, budgets, target market and trends. Creating live work, concepting with effective use of type, imagery, layout and process. Adapting and refreshing existing styles using internal and external reference. Integral in researching and formulating S/S 2010 trends. Often consulting trend-forecasting sites such as WGSN and stylus. The trends were very well received and were used as a guide and inspiration throughout the entire company. Designing creative marketing materials, pitch work, branding, brochures, menus, greeting cards, website illustrations and packaging and new business development.
