  • Sabertooth Boston. 1881
Sabertooth Boston. 1881A drink of sophistication and luxury for those with a taste for the high class. The concept behind the packaging of this boutique brand was to be simple yet ooze elegance; be bold but beautiful, just as the animal it’s named after. Sabertooth is designed to be a brand that is admired, to be sought after, yet out of reach for the average working man. To be looked at as exclusive.
  • Herman Miller - Annual Report
Herman Miller - Annual ReportHerman Miller is known for its attention to detail. This is the main message exhibited throughout the annual report. A key objective was to expose the process of design, to present all of the acute details that go into the making of furniture. Sketches of Herman Miller chairs were embedded to show the design process and thought behind their products. A miniature book was created as an additional piece of design, presenting facts and figures of Herman Miller’s successes. The design of this was identical to the main report, yet had a sense of individuality due to its alternative colours.
  • Soapbox
SoapboxThe idea behind this newly established brand was to create a simple concept that was recognisable and friendly. The initial process was to come up with a logo that went against the stereotypical and standardized elements that are seen within the designs of the laundry industry. The idea behind the logo was to create a simple and memorable design. This led to the name, ‘Soap Box’ written within shapes, reminiscent of a washing machine. After the logo was developed, the overall concept of the brand flourished from there, including what message it would bring to its customers. This message was comforting and trustworthy. A pattern was created with vibrant friendly colours in the style of intertwining knitted threads. This design would become the familiar image that Soap Box’s customers would come to recognise and rely on.
  • Find A Pet
Find A PetThis simple pet purchasing website utilised a friendly blue colour to welcome in its consumers. The stand-out element was the adorable animal snouts, which became the main concept of the site. Cut-out animal designs were implemented in order to go beyond the normal structure found on traditional websites. The animal snout idea was carried throughout both the digital and print designs. On digital they served as a way for the website user to select preferred animals and on print as fun and quirky postcards. This concept added a lighter side to the important information on the back, as well as becoming a novelty item for both children and parents.
  • Zonal
ZonalA telecommunication network aimed at modern youth means looking at their interests, current trends and what attracts them to a product. The initial concept was made by looking at geometric graphics and logos, what grabs the attention of the eyes. From there came the idea of zones and how there are boundaries set with most things, including the process of purchasing a phone. ‘Making your zone’ become the overarching concept, developing from the idea of customising your own boundaries. By giving consumers the freedom to choose the purchasing method and product package, the overall design was flexible and allowed for further customisation. The various elements of the lightning bolts, hands and type remained true to the demographic, while also fitting with the overall message, ‘This is your zone.’
  • I Am Football
I Am FootballThe motivation behind the I Am Football campaign was to promote the message that football is more than just a physical sport and that it provides children with life skills and well being development. The campaign was developed to promote the belief that football benefits children by teaching them to be confident, perseverant, committed and so much more. These are all transferable skills that help children as they learn and mature. A poster was created to promote this message and develop an understanding of the colour scheme and overall graphic style. large, vibrant letters portray the message of the campaign and were utilised to grab the attention of parents and children. These concepts and themes were then used throughout products relating to all aspects of the campaign.
