- 1666Antoanet Dimitrova is graduate photography student at University for the Creative Arts , Rochester. Antoanet is interested in digital art. Her latest project is based on the story of the Great Fire of London 1666. On the 2nd September 1666, the fire spread across the capital, causing flames to demolish buildings and creating a smell of dusty smoke. Antoanet was inspired by painter Jan Griffier, Lieve Verschuier and game artist Grzegorz Baran. She travelled to London at specific locations to search for buildings that survived the Great Fire of London. The three images in the series outline different moments during the fire. Antoanet transforms her photographs of the buildings into digital art, using her imagination as to how they might have looked on fire at that time in 1666. These buildings are still standing today.
