I am an extremely passionate events coordinator with an aptitude for hard work and progression. Since I started my career within the events sector in 2015, I have worked across multiple projects and learned valuable skills about running events onsite as well as from an office. Not only do I understand event logistics, but I have experience managing budgets and diary management. What I am looking to explore further is my client liaison skills as I am passionate about building relationships which can benefit my work. Since graduating with a 2.1 in events management in June 2018, I have been working on my project management skills which have massively strengthened my time management and communication skills. Roles include: - Organising event logistics including flights, accommodation, per diems and float, insurance, visa, letters, contact directories, accreditation letters and interpreters - Ensure delegates and programme lawyers receive all relevant material for their trip, both before and during programme implementation - Diary management and some PA duties to programme lawyers - Reconcile monthly credit card statements and expenses - Timely action of invoices, particularly from travel agency each month; - Assisting staff when abroad, including responding to emails and phone calls - General office administration, secretarial assistance, courier services, and filing
Roles included: - Managing all artist bookings for the main stage. - Artist liaison during the festival. - Coordinating a team of volunteers from the early planning stages to the event itself. - Being responsible for everything running smoothly on the day including delegation of staff and volunteers. - Attending regular meetings with the event managers to plan the event including allocation of budgets, marketing and planning for the future development of the festival and charity. - Managing the festivals marketing processes including advertisement in magazines, radio, online and social media marketing plans. Paddle Round The Pier Festival is an annual charity based music festival in Brighton with up to 50,000 people attending over the weekend. So far these responsibilities have given me invaluable experience and working on the events has proven to be an exciting and rewarding challenge.
My role as an artist manager keeps me updated with events in the South East and urges me to network with other managers and promoters. Other key roles include keeping social media platforms up to date and active, developing artists brands, managing all finances and maintaining active relationships with other artists and promoters. I have been involved in a number of live music events, including running events all over Brighton with my own promotions company for the past 3 years. A key part of this role has been maintaining strong relationships with venues and artists, and utilising exceptional organisational skills.
Roles Included - Recruiting participants for market research (target driven 80 - 100 calls per day) - Answering telephone and email enquiries with a professional manner. - Supporting project managers with ad hoc tasks and office duties - Liaising with clients and building relationships - Work across multiple projects This role was heavily telephone and administration based which has strengthened my verbal and written communication skills.
Roles included: - Attending each festival and assisting with the management of cash flow on site. - Ensuring all purchase orders are approved on Sales Force and recorded on the budget control sheets. - Checking invoices are coded correctly and are within the festival budget before authorisation. - Summarising daily bank statement transactions. - Checking all expenses are recorded correctly before posting them to Live Nation. - Processing company credit cards by agreed deadlines. Working for Mama Festivals taught me how to assist in the financial management process for music festivals along with excellent time management skills and the ability to work towards deadlines in a professional manner. I also achieved an intermediate qualification in Microsoft Excel.
I graduated from Sussex University with a 2.1 in Events Management in June 2018. I was voted student representative by my peers 2 years running.
