About me

Hi! I'm Areena, a photographer and videographer available on a freelance basis. I spent 3 years studying BSc Digital Filmmaking at the University of Greenwich and put all that I learned to use working on film and photo commisions for some small clients - both corporate and private. I've worked in live events coverage and have some experience working on sets in production. I also spend time shooting for stylists and designers for promotional use. I'm looking to expand my professional capabilities and develop a better grounding in the film and photo industries with great experiences to learn and shape my work.

  Solitary By ChoiceStudio shoot in collaboration with designer, Marina Townsend and first foray into studio photography for me. The 'Black and White collection' for her clothing line 'Solitary By Choice'. Shot on Nikon D810 at UniQ Studios, Bow, London. (2019) The designer assembled a crew of Women of Colour to champion the desire for a higher level of diversity in creative industries.

Graduated with a 2:1 in Digital Film Production from the University of Greenwich. The bachelors programme was a practical course with education focussed on the development of practical skills concerning film production from pre-production through to post. My primary focus for my work was in the camera and lighting department, Most of the work I undertook was in a film lighting or camera operating capacity.
