Performance Curator Paraphernalia
In my role as an organiser of PARAPHERNALIA, a series of events in The Poetry Club which run in tandem which the exhibition programme of the Voidoid Archive, it has been my chief responsibility to select and curate poetry, spoken word, live performance and moving image. Working closely with Jim Lambie and the management of both the club and archive in promoting emerging talent in contemporary performance as well as the periodical inclusion also of established figures, which have included John Giorno, Gerard Malanga, John Hell and Sue Tompkins. Auxiliary responsibilities include set up and management of technicians, performers and event-specific set design and promotional material, as well as working with the Voidoid Archive in the selection of performers for the editioned series of 7” LPs produced in two-disc sets of music and spoken word.
