About me
Hi, my name is Ariella (she/her) and I recently graduated from the University of Brighton with a first-class degree in Multimedia Broadcast Journalism. I currently work in a village pub, which I love! I've been there since my first year of university and though it's not a job I would like to make a career out of, it involves one of my favourite hobbies, cooking. I am looking to move on and start my career. I am a hard-working, highly organised, and incredibly driven with a proven ability to work effectively as both part of a team or individually. I can adapt efficiently to changing situations and pride myself on my proactive nature, creativity, and communicative ability. I strive to overcome any challenge presented and am dedicated to completing any task, no matter the significance, to the highest ability. I aspire to produce television in the future. For me, the first step to achieving this is to work in an administration or social media role. I see both of these disciplines as transferable skills that I can use wherever my career journey takes me. I have an abundance of experience in customer service from part-time jobs I've had throughout my education. I also have experience managing social media channels from my degree.

  • ME + MY ADHD - UNDIAGNOSED WOMEN
ME + MY ADHD - UNDIAGNOSED WOMENThis was my final industry project for my degree. I produced, presented, and edited the documentary myself. In addition to this, I taught myself how to animate to create graphics that run throughout. I completed this work during the 2020 coronavirus pandemic and received a first-class grade for it.

I’ve been at the Jack and Jill since my first year at university. Starting off as bar staff, I progressed quickly up to kitchen staff and have worked my way around all the roles available, including head cook when needed. With unpredictable busy periods, extensive outside seating, and the capacity to host large functions, the Jack and Jill has provided me with the valuable skill of working quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment with a slim margin for error. This position has also allowed me to improve my customer service skills, whether that be behind the bar, serving food, or attending to the needs of wakes, weddings, and birthday celebrations. Within my first week, I was trusted to open and close the pub on my own and consider myself a reliable and valuable member of staff.

I spent the majority of my time researching for shows going out on Sky Arts as well as running errands, compiling and completing production paperwork and logging.  This position gave me a valuable insight into the operations of an independent production company and gave me valuable experience in both office administration and television production (Live and pre-recorded).
