About me
I am a hardworking and conscientious graduate from QMUL. I have always had an interest in the media, fashion and entertainment industry, which is why I studied Comparative Literature and Film Studies to become more knowledgable at a degree level. I worked both autonomously and within a team to produce assignments and short films, always looking to improve my skills and learn from others. Working at Marks and Spencer’s I had an invaluable insight into the retail industry, where I was able to showcase my strong interpersonal skills and exceed targets for the company. I am pro-active, approachable and I am currently looking for the opportunity to gain new skills and develop in my career.

Customer Assistant and a member of the Events Team 'MEMS' (Making Every Moment Special): I worked in Womenswear, acting as the first point of contact within the store, meeting and greeting, being friendly, approachable and sparking up conversations with customers. I'm skilled in working on tills, dealing with customer queries, managing fitting rooms, putting out deliveries and stock, and maintaining high store standards. I’m experienced in helping other departments, including the Beauty section and Visual Merchandising. As a member of the Events Team, I helped to increase sales within the store via achieving targets and goals set alongside my department leads, and building a rapport with the customers e.g. promoting and selling the latest offers, such as skincare, summer beauty boxes, in-store fashion shows and multiple sale periods. I helped to promote online ordering, which is now attracting more customers to use online platforms. Furthermore, I have also volunteered to raise money for charities, e.g. McMillan Cancer Support. A key part of my role was to liaise with the vast array of customers M&S attract, while trying to promote company mission values. I welcomed all kinds of feedback from visitors in-store, always looking to explain and show how M&S is improving, innovating and keeping customers at the heart of everything we do. Endorsing the value of customer feedback as an important way of keeping in touch, improving our overall service, and promoting our four key M&S values: Inspiration, Innovation, Integrity and In Touch.
