- What RemainsOur film surrounds the 2014 flood in the South of France, La Londe. Lauren’s uncle was one of many affected by the flood; his house was torn down by the water. The house is sentimental to him and his family as he built it himself many years ago when he first came to France. The main theme of our documentary is nostalgia and memories. We want to evoke empathy from the audience and to portray a feeling of calmness as he looks back on the past. We will interview Chris Carnell as a voiceover.

I discovered Chocolate Films back in college when taking part in one of their Documentary Workshops, during which I created a 3 minute short as part of their 1000 Londoner project. I later applied for the position of Office Junior where I did various Adhoc tasks; including filing release forms, NDA’s and other contracts, handling accounts and invoicing, working on software like Xero, stocked office supplies and answered company calls, archived completed projects onto tapes and offering beverages to clients during meetings. Recently, I have been promoted to Junior Filmmaker, working on a wide variety of video content for predominately the arts, heritage and charity sector.
