I am an ambitious and determined person with excellent communication skills. I enjoy working as part of a team or independently using my own initiative. I am organised, reliable, and structured in my approach with experience of working on high profile and prestigious events including Lapland, London Fashion Week, The National Television Awards and V-Festival. I work to tight deadlines, meeting and delivering targets in a timely and professional manner. I am a quick learner who enjoys new challenges and problem solving. I am extremely adaptable, approachable and love meeting new people and creating professional relationships.
Working in Lapland involved being available 24/7 with constant face to face interaction producing impeccable customer service. I had to adapt to my surroundings, people and situations using my initiative to react to unexpected problems and being proactive to solve them. I worked very long hours displaying a continuous positive attitude showing my trust, loyalty and mutual respect. I managed my time to provide the best service and would coordinate and lead the planning and delivery of meetings and events whilst generating sales.
Oversee the set-up of a brand-new business in St Paul's, London by changing it from a nightclub to a Live Music Venue. I would answer all enquiries from new and existing clients, creating potential business. I would follow this up by sending over a proposal and negotiate this once they have accepted my offer. I was the first point of call for all the events until late evening as I then delegated this over to the bar manager. I ran all social media and marketing over two bars including branding and designing by researching and brainstorming different marketing techniques to increase business and brand awareness. I would retrieve quotes from several contacts and follow this up with the best deal. I would manage the setup of all events making sure materials are put out and equipment has been correctly set up. I would liaise with the police and council about licenses and other queries.
As an Event Coordinator I successfully managed 8 Cinema Sleepover Club (Mini festivals) events in its first year. This started from creating an idea to putting it into practice and analysing the post actions. Each live event reached up to 800 people. My role was to plan the whole event. I firstly started researching venues and turning them into confirmations by negotiating and building up a professional relationship. The marketing, website, social media, branding and designing of the event was created by myself and the marketing manager. This included all print work, artwork, event materials and signage. We would use ticket sights and third-party websites like Groupon to create brand awareness in its first year. We contracted a production and security team to help with the licensing and health and safety. I then arranged staff to help with the running of the day who I managed and briefed 5-30 people at the event. Other duties included diary management, use of MS office, raise of PO's and invoices, arranging travel, liaising with clients and sponsors and dealing with administration
