About me
As a freelancer, I enjoy working with agencies, production & broadcast companies, start-ups and directly with businesses large or small to help bring their ideas into reality. Either as a designer or art director, I'm comfortable working as part of your team or individually concepting, crafting and guiding the creative myself. Originally employed in print and production following an education in typographic design and having worked at agencies both large and small, I developed a wide range of skills working across numerous areas of design and artwork, as well as a keen eye for detail. As the industry evolved and shifted towards digital design I adapted my skills to suit with a focus on motion graphics, animation and visual effects. After many years in full-time employment and feeling unsatisfied in my role, I began freelancing in 2019 so I could offer my skills to a broader range of clients in a wider variety of industries where I felt I could make a bigger difference. Skilled using Adobe After Effects along with a wide range of plugins, Maxon Cinema 4D, Redshift, Red Giant and X-Particles. I also have many years of experience using Adobe Creative Cloud including Premiere, Photoshop and Illustrator.

Citrix // Task SwitchingEvery time we switch tasks at work, there is a cost. Context switching can eat up as much as 40 percent of our productive time. To drive employee engagement, we must create space for more meaningful and focused work. Working with the wonderful team at Red Havas in London, I was tasked with animating this Task Switching video for Citrix.

Having a proven track record, I'm comfortable working either as a designer within a team environment or as an art director concepting and guiding the creative myself. I’ve been fortunate to work with a number of agencies including AKQA, Wunderman, Red Havas, Iris, Untold Studios and Sunset+Vine to name a few, as well as working B2B (business-to-business) with production companies, in-house and remotely with a number of local and international clients. The work varies from 2D & 3D across product videos, explainer videos, corporate animations, opening credits, broadcast packages, character animation for children’s TV shows, pitch videos or social media posts for numerous brands. Although experienced in my craft, I'm continually developing my skills and regularly participate in training courses from School of Motion, Mograph Mentor, Learn Squared and LinkedIn Learning. I have a strong desire to learn new abilities and believe this to be a key trait of a good motion designer, as the industry is constantly evolving.
