I’m Ashton Springer. Surface Designer, Animator and all round creative, born and raised in North London. A creative, eager to grow in the shades of a suburban city, I soon found myself being prodded with the prickly pressures that came with life. Many years later such pressure and experience would cultivate into an art that is truly my own; a unique insight juxtapostioned between two worlds and a narrative that is parallel to my dark and gritty illustrative style. Ultimately, the abstract design of my pieces grew with their creator and in turn birthed a world; an entire geography for an escapist to explore. With life being a story yet to be finished, I will continue to grow this landscape and in doing so make my mark as a true creative.
A creative video production company with a client base focused firmly in fashion and the music video market. Together with the owners I helped establish brand identity and grow Crookdlense. Working with them now on a freelance basis my main focus is on producing title screens, design work and animations along with creating art work for their social media platforms.
Working as a freelance surface designer has allowed my illustration and pattern design to be used in collaboration with a range of well known companies and participate in nationwide campaigns for Vans and Footasylum to Propercorn. Most notably FreshLaces selected me to exhibit a collection of self-customised trainers at Harvey Nichols, Manchester as part of their exclusive event. My freelance work also includes producing customised gift wrap, cards, fabric and designing personalised portraits as gifts.
I produced video graphics/ motion graphics for companies such as Rebull, Burn, Trakpak and Nandos. My illustrative capabilities were also utilised by producing quirky animations or assets for clients.
