About me
I am a positive, passionate and determined individual who aims to motivate and inspire people through my work. I am an active person, who participated in a few design and photography competitions and has a range of personal and group photography projects. Effective communicator and able to work under pressure with tight deadlines. Ambitious, dedicated and responsible when undertaking duties. Graduated from Cyprus University of Technology with a degree in Graphic Design and Multimedia. Recently completed a Master in Fashion Photography at London College of Fashion, combining artistic knowledge with both theory and practise of fashion photography. Through studies, I have developed the abilities to think in a critical manner, expand creativity and design ideas, learn different design methods and nurture the way of thinking by reading a variety of books. Mainly interested in taking part in projects that promote realistic, diverse, positive ideals around body image and beauty. Further aspiration is to make a PhD and establish an organisation, where women could get help so as to overcome body image issues through photography and art.
Projects
  • Cecile
CecilePersonality and confidence are aspects in human's nature that attract people in our lives. In photography, these features could work in the same way and attract the viewer. Cecile is elegant and captures the viewer’s eyes! She is dynamic, but at the same time she is feminine! She adds a delicate as well as a powerful tone on the picture. She is beautiful, like every woman who knows what she wants from her life!
  • Multiple sides of beauty
Multiple sides of beautyIn this series the garment is analysed from all over its sides, so the viewer has the illusion of a 3D view by utilising the 2D method of photography. The geometrical form of the garments and the dynamic face of Cecile are perfectly combined together, so as to create a strong visual effect. For me it is important to show the garment using this method, so as the viewer would know exactly how it looks like from all over its sides. Special thanks to the talented Fashion Designer Hee Kim, for the beautiful garments.
  • Diversity is the real beauty (part 2)
Diversity is the real beauty (part 2)This series is a continuity of the project Diversity is the real beauty (part 1). The photographs are an analysis of every side of the human body. I captured the girls from the back side and using the stop frame animation technique I am depicting them in different phases until they turn in a profile position, always holding different objects with different mirrors on the wall. The bodies of the girls are an open window to explore the diversity of the deeper notions of fashion, that should allow people to think in a multiple way and discover the exciting environment of variety. Fashion should be affordable for every individual no matter their social, economic, cultural background. We should cherish our individuality. We are all differently beautiful and beauty is not a static notion. However, it is an element that develops and encourages people to appreciate themselves and the rest of the world.
