About me
I’m an illustrator currently in my third year on the BA illustration course at Camberwell College of Arts (UAL). My interests are visual storytelling and narrative illustration, book arts, printmaking and community based art practice. My current goal is to get into editorial illustration and I am very open to work in that field! - Narrative Illustration (Personal Project)A recent narrative illustration I created based on an anti-imperialist feminist confrontation with the border in the city I grew up in, Nicosia. This confrontation was based on a study of what the border represents as a site of imperialism, and how the foreign interventions on Cypriot land have impacted the Eastern Mediterranean region as a whole through the use of the British military bases. - SWANA Storytelling Fundraiser ProjectI curated an illustrative storytelling project in collaboration with queer and/or woman storytellers from the SWANA region (Deniz Demirag, Lujain Mansour, Niki Kohandel, Leandros Farley and Florenza Deniz Incirli). The stories explore themes surrounding women's oral histories, stories connected to the land, and stories centred around female and/or queer mythological figures. - The Earth Mother Magic Tarot DeckI created the Earth Mother Magic Tarot (published October 2022), a risograph printed tarot deck based on lesbian embodiments of the Earth through anticolonial lenses of ecofeminism. The figures in the deck include intersectional representations of femininity through a queer "female" gaze. I also created the Earth Mother Magic Tarot Zine, a hand-bound tarot guide zine which is an accompaniment to the deck. I am one of eight participant artists in Burned House Horizon, an Arts Council England-funded project with an upcoming exhibition at Mimosa House. I participated in a three-day artist residency at Bidston Observatory Artistic Research Centre (October 2024), and was commissioned to create works specifically for the exhibition and to create illustrated posters and postcards for the project.
