Hi, I'm Becca!
I am an illustrator who specialises in creating eye-catching editorial illustrations, often drawing isometrically in combination with warm colours to achieve a playful aesthetic. My long-standing interests in science and food fuel my creativity, and I love approaching every piece of illustration as a delightful mystery to solve.

- WHAT KIND OF THINKER ARE YOUA speculative magazine cover illustration for issue 3448 of the New Scientist, capturing the essence of the article “What kind of thinker are you,” written by Kate Douglas. Delving into the intricacies of cognition, the article investigates the ‘how’ of thinking rather than the ‘what,’ unveiling that '40 per cent of thoughts don’t fit neatly into one or another category […] people’s experiences seem to unfold on multiple, parallel, simultaneous tracks.’ My illustration represents this narrative
- FOOD TO KNOWCover design for a self-made magazine serves as a personal exploration into editorial illustration - what better lens to explore it than through food? I created dummy books, tested gutter dimensions, and assessed page layouts for reader balance. Given m
- GO IT ALONEIllustrations for a project set by the Copenhagen Institute for Future Studies in which I had to visualise a possible future scenario. The scenario has an emphasis on adaption to change, the local production of goods, a breakdown of larger, multinational corporations and distrust of the government. First time using Adobe Illustrator.

Whilst working at bars alongside college and university it was commented that I was a friendly and hardworking individual. I’ve always been approachable and open to questions, creating a welcoming atmosphere for new staff members. Kindness and empathy are something I really value as that’s how you get the best out of people when working in a collective. For example, if someone is overwhelmed by drinks orders I’ll offer a hand or take over whilst they have a breather. I thrive in high-pressure, weekend shifts by staying calm and composed. I proactively identify and address issues before they become major problems and assist in closing tasks even when it’s not my job as I can appreciate the challenges faced by them. I also enjoy staying busy and engaging with customers, often receiving positive feedback about my friendly and conversational approach.
