About me
I am an ambitious conceptual textile artist influenced by material experimentation, and have recently graduated from Chelsea College of Arts with a First Class Honours degree in Textile Design. I have experience assisting in the studios of designer makers who are working within the field of textile design in the broadest sense of the term, producing sculptural work on an architectural scale, ornate wall hangings and knitted products. Through my personal work I am inspired by fluid movement and organic shape, and explore the space where liquid meets solid, and hard meets soft. I am concerned with reinventing the perception of knitting and embrace the fact that a knitted stitch is a structural element. This notion has led me to most recently combine my knitted fabric with ceramic material. I continue to live in London, with a passion to keep producing experimental textiles and surfaces, and would love the opportunity to work with like minded creatives.

  • GOLDEN THROW
GOLDEN THROWKnitted fabric and porcelain casting slip shaped as if it were a blanket thrown over a chair.
  • RELICS
RELICSRelic / an object surviving from an earlier time, something saved from the past. When ceramic and fabric merge, one outlives the other. During firing the fabric disintegrates, but not without leaving a lasting impression. What is saved is an essence of what once existed. These relics are the result of ongoing material experimentation.
