About me

I am a young freelance illustrator looking for more work and experience, particularly in illustration work. I have a particular passion for narrative illustration but an enthusiasm for many areas of design, including graphic and icon design, promotional illustration and many others. I have experience in some freelance illustration projects which incorporated my skills in digital illustration, text layout and preparing images for print. My eventual career goal is to become a full time illustrator and comic artist.

  Escalators A personal piece based on various dreams in which a person (based on myself) is wandering around an empty shopping centre with no particular destination in mind, or at least the destination is never reached.
• Amici Cantate Posters Poster artwork and layouts created for the choir Amici Cantate.
• Through the Woods
• The Girl and The BearA series of risograph prints, somewhat inspired by the Northern Lights by Philip Pullman.
• SadnessA personal project that I turned into some Risograph prints.
• #EmilyMattersCommissions for the twitter account ‘EmilyMatters’ that focuses on feminist rights and the work of the suffragettes. I was commissioned to create a Christmas and an Anniversary image for them.

• Designed numerous illustrations to be used alongside educational material, aiding the visual enjoyment of maths problem worksheets and similar. • Demonstrating a wide range of skills with designs from science diagrams and simple objects to full narrative based cover illustrations. • Worked efficiently and communicated well with the client over a wide range of project time-scales, ranging from a couple of days to a month.

• Marketed and designed promotional flyers for multiple choral concerts that were well attended. • Also designed all imagery and designed imagery to fit the themes of each concert. • Redesigned the logo for the 10th anniversary of the choir. • Discussed and communicated frequently and smoothly with the client, adapting quickly to any suggestions or changes needed and as such produced flyers that perfectly matched the brief.

Achieved a 1st Class BA (Hons) in Illustration. Modules included: • ‘Portfolio and Promotion’ in which I contributed in group work and improved my organisational skills. • ‘Final Major Project’ in which I pitched my project, a 28 page comic, in a professional setting to tutors and was accepted. • ‘Olio’ a University publication in which I pitched a double page spread to a professional in the industry and a tutor and was approved for inclusion.
