Worked as part of the event team for Nantwich Food and Drink Festival. Responsible for producing new events for the annual festival such as the ‘Potato Bowling Championships’ and cake decorating workshops. Engaged with the local community and suppliers to direct events. Delegated tasks to a team of volunteers.
Volunteered as a Reading Activist for the Summer Reading Challenge, representing a nationwide reading scheme. Progressed to Lead Volunteer, thus managing the project and a team of volunteers. Work experience role. Headhunted and researched talent in the corporate comedy sector. Mediated with clients, created press portfolios and pitched the business at networking events. Sought new talent at the Edinburgh Festival. Involved in planning a charity ball for the Brain Tumour Trust
Graduated with a 2.1 in English Literature from a Russell Group University. Research driven modules, but also concentrated on critical theory of texts, close analysis, and literary history. Developed and strengthened my essay writing skills, communication, referencing and resourcing.
