About me
Hi, I'm Ben. I am absolutely in love with design, in all its forms. I see games as the combination and cohesion of all forms of design from environmental to narrative, or graphic to architectural in order to make something that is unlike anything else. This passion for design creates a lens to see the world through: constantly creating new ideas and concepts for a multitude of fields. I love to push the boundaries of design by utilising and blending techniques with different ways of thinking from other industries and fields, but I always apply the same belief in every piece of design, in every field that I work on: Consistency and cohesion.

  • PARAMNESIA
    PARAMNESIAThis university dissertation project highlights the current predictable narrative techniques currently used within modern game development. Researched subconscious psychological theories and techniques for directing and influencing participants are implemented in this project's level, with the participant's responses and the effectiveness of the techniques analysed. This projected spawned some amazing results in the application of psychological techniques and theories to better influence and control player's direction and action within game design.
  • Branding for Dissertation
    Branding for DissertationCreation of the brand around my dissertation project. The purpose of this was to attract members of the public to come and participate in my dissertation project. The word Paramnesia came from concepting the game, where the game is all about the mind and manipulating what the player sees. The logo, font and splash screen therefore had to reflect this also.
  • Coffee&Cold Rebrand
    Coffee&Cold RebrandThis project involved working with a friend to rebrand his Youtube channel. After researching Youtube Channel brands; I found most were very noisy and busy with little brand coherance. I therefore chose to create a flat, minimalist, modern design language that was easy for the channel to continue and keep brand consistancy.
