About me
I am a graduate of London College of Communication, with a degree in graphic and media design.
My passion for Graphic Design focuses on Typography, Editorial and Branding. however I fundamentally enjoy all aspects of creating beautiful pieces of design.
I also love to keep up to date with the creative industry, from interior, to art and fashion. Photography is also something that I have always enjoyed and love to bring this into my work.
I am committed, dedicated and motivated to succeed, and always aim to complete a project to the very best of my ability, with a strong eye for detail insuring that work is in perfect order before finishing. I am a key team player, working well with others to complete tasks, I am also able to easily work independently. I also have great communication skills to understand and interpret a clients ideas and wishes.
Projects
- DissertationMy dissertation, titled: Typography’s role in learning: Can the presentation of text affect an individual’s learning and comprehension? The research that I have conducted throughout this project has given me a vast amount of knowledge regarding typography. Part of the outcome was to produce a print version, I decided to create a booklet with a simple Japanese bind.
- Self Initiated ProjectThis project explored children's education to coincide with my dissertation, this however explored colour and image rather than just focusing on type, I looked at word and image association. I created a pocket sized fold out leaflet, flashcards and a process book which reflected the feel of the project.
- Industry PracticeThis Industry Practice brief involved investigating and evaluating an industry within Graphic Design, I choose to research editorial to be able to get a greater understanding. I choose to both create a traditional newspaper and the design for an App to run along side the paper to allow users to explore London.
- InteractStories, Methods and Forms: Designer as an explorer is a social design project with the outcome of a phone application. The aim of a project was to start at a point and following directions end up in an unknown location. Interact allows users to discover parts of Covent Garden which they might not of yet discovered, it has the potential to cover the whole of London and scope to be used in other cities.
