About me
I’m excited by shapes, form, movement and colour. The tip of a pine-tree, the wave before it drops, the corner of a building, the curve of an eyebrow; I find these forms exciting. A kingfisher’s feathers, new sneakers, new sunrises, orange Lego blocks; I find these colours exciting. In life we’re provided with endless forms and colours and I excitedly recreate them in my illustration work, I enjoy creating exciting illustration, illustration that excites people. I am a highly experienced illustrator, renowned for a positive, creative outlook and a solid understanding of commercial design, the visual arts and successful business. I love it. I relish diversity and welcome all opportunities; large or small, print or digital, editorial, advertising, publishing, interiors, fashion, surface patterns, murals and any other world beyond.
  • Falcon Jigsaws
Falcon JigsawsI worked with the team at Galt Toys / Falcon Jigsaws to create an exciting 1000 piece jigsaw puzzle featuring my local city of Bristol! The scene is based around the marina, with it's historic sites, paddle boarders and, of course, a Gromit, but also incorporates Bristol's colourful houses, cafes, football teams and hot air balloons!
  • MKG Foods
MKG FoodsI worked with Awemous to create the cover illustration for MKG's seasonal brochure, focusing on the return to hospitality post-pandemic.

  • The Guardian
The GuardianI was commissioned by The Guardian to illustrate a story for their Travel supplement giving holiday tips from a selection of their lifestyle writers. The illustration features most of the tips and was also used on the front page of the main paper.
  • Working From Home Animation
Working From Home AnimationI've been working on upping my editorial game recently, adding better animation and telling better stories, so I created this (self-initiated) piece based on the idea that businesses may continue remote working post-pandemic, and questioning if we really could all work from home forever? I also mocked-it up with the New Yorker header, looks pretty smart!
  • Out of the Loop
Out of the LoopAfter a chance meeting on Twitter during the 2020 lockdowns, I began a collaboration with psychologist and counsellor Gillian Batty, bringing visuals to her brilliant anxiety treatment program. Initially, the name and brand was conceived by myself and my wife (and creative partner) Fi. Gill and I then worked together to create a psycho-educational E-Book designed to demystify and treat anxiety, the result is The site was designed and built by the super team at wearereply.c
