About me
Ben is a social entrepreneur and freelance creative director with a passion for creating, stress-testing and driving innovative projects and campaigns that make a positive difference in the world. He was listed in 2020 by Forbes as a 30 Under 30 alongside Greta Thunberg, by the BBC worldwide as a person ‘changing the world’, by Red Bull as a key change maker and by Men’s Health as an ‘affable bloke’. Ben's campaigns have reached over 800m people worldwide and his work won the Global Good awards for innovation in 2021. Ben has worked for a number of leading agencies in advertising and PR, helping them to drive innovation. Separately he has built several startups including Steel Warriors, and an anti-knife crime charity that melts down knives and turns them into outdoor gyms and Temple Wellbeing, a habit-forming mental wellbeing app for employees. Ben is open to new ideas and projects and is always up for a chat!

  • Temple Wellbeing
    Temple WellbeingTemple was a B2B mental wellbeing app for workers. Despite 1 in 3 people suffering from poor mental wellbeing at work, 80% of available solutions only achieve a 2-4% engagement rate with users. My Co-founder, (former Microsoft Executive, Nikolaz Foucaud) and I felt compelled to build a platform that lent from habit forming technologies to engage workers and make mind maintenance a daily habit.     Steel WarriorsIn 2017, I convieved and then led the UK based anti-knife crime charity, Steel Warriors. Around one tonne of knives come off London’s streets every month. Steel Warriors melt down knives and recycle them into free outdoor gyms. These gyms aim to give young people more physical and psychological confidence to walk the streets unarmed.     In 2017 I Co-founded and led the UK based anti-knife crime charity, Steel Warriors. I now serve exclusively on the board of trustees. Around one tonne of knives come off London’s streets every month. Steel Warriors melt down knives and recycle them into free outdoor gyms. The Steel Warriors campaign to date has reached over 800 million people and over 42 different countries worldwide. My co-founder, Pia, and I feel thrilled to have been selected by Forbes on the 30 Under 30 (2020) list in the social entreprenuers category for our work on Steel Warriors. The Steel Warriors team is now made up of over 100 different individuals working from 20 different companies. Our first gym in East London's Langdon park has been listed by Men’s Health as the 'Best gym in the world’ and Twitter has awarded us with their 2019 Powered by Tweets award. We currently have four gyms in London. Each gym has a world class Steel Warriors trainer offering free strength, freestyle and cardio sessions to the local community.
