About me
I am a recent graduate from University of Florence, having studied BA Industrial Design. I love many aspects of design and I have several interests. My design approach orientates around creating positive social benefits, starting from the users’ point of view, analyzing needs, wishes and expectations to realize design projects based on humans' needs. I believe that design can bring innovation and benefits in many fields, influence social change, and improve the way we live. I have many skills in photography as I worked in this field. I define myself a confident and creative designer, and mostly self-motivated and always curious to learn more and more.
Projects
  • Achluophobia
AchluophobiaPending Cultures Exhibition is an Interational project that puts in contact two student from two different Universities in the world. I have been mated to an Argentine girl and when we started brainstorming, we found out that we had something in common, the achluophobia. Achluophobia is the fear of darkness, so the name of the project makes understand the concept of the lamp. In fact, Achluophobia is a lamp that keeps a constant light. The project was born from the idea of a visible light even in the dark nights and would show its shape even when the last lights are switched off. So this lamp has new functional values, both to help people who are afraid of the darkness and to not have problems of energy waste. The shape of the lamp is inspired to the mix of our two different cultures: the Italian one and the Argentine one. In fact the two crossing rings would represent Italy through softer shapes covered in luminescent fabric and a second light, that would represent Argentina with more straight lines and traditional palosanto wood, thus creating a weave of cultures through materials and shapes. This project was selected for the exhibition and it was selected among the winners.

43°46'45''N - 11°14'46''E The brief of the project was to create a new logo and a new image for the Univesity of Florence, and then to associate a little collection (t-shirt, hat/cap, bag and foulard) with the theme of the logo. For this project I was inspired by the theme of recycling of textile fibers and it is linked to the example of the cardate of Prato, my home town. The district of Prato has a long tradition in the recycling of fabrics. In Prato there are dozens of companies engaged in this practice of recycling. From the 50s of the last century this disctrict developed an extensive network of companies engaged in the collection, sorting, carbonization and fraying of fabrics for the production of regenerated fibers, that then will become a new fabrics, according to the principle of sustainability. For this reasons the collection I designed focuses on the logo. The new logo of UNIFI brand comunicate traceability of the production through the symbol of the position, easily identifiable by young people and through the geographic coordinates of the place of production. Every item of the collection can be monitored from anywhere thanks to the geographic coordinates that identify the place of production. The brand of the University become in this collection symbol of awareness and storytelling.
  • Platy
PlatyIn this era of social networks and smartphones is easy to think about a device or an app for smartphone that helps the customer in the shopping experience, reducing times and facilitating the achievement of products. PLATY is a new shopping trolley that wants to satisfy this new necessity but innovating the shapes of a traditional shopping trolley. PLATY is meant to be inserted in luxory shopping centers, it is inspired to 50s and 60s forniture, especially to the wire products, for example the Platner series, produced by Knoll, designed by Warren Platner (that inspired the name as well). Moreover, some comforts render the shopping experience a more enjoyable one for the user. For example: - faciliting the use of the smartphone/tablet thanks to a special space close to the handle; - optimize the positioning of goods inside the trolley thanks to the presence of the shelves below the main basket. These allow support for any protruding objects, bottles, bag and more.
