Working with The Barbican Centre during the exhibition of American Artist Jean-Michel Basquiat’s first ever large-scale UK exhibition. - Drawing on my experience of art history and participation in the ARTiculation Prize I curated a talk and tour, in which I spoke about my experience of the exhibition over several weeks. - As part of this I took groups of visitors around the exhibition, highlighting particular paintings which I felt were of the most significance, and correlating their relevance to Basquiat's monetary value and how that in itself affects his standing in art history.
Working with the Director and the Production Director to produce Moniker Art Fair in the week leading up to its opening as well as assisting exhibiting artists in the selling of work to collectors during the week itself. Also, VIP management was also a core responsibility. Further responsibilities are as follows: - Managing the installation of works by individual artists such as Alex Fakso as well as on behalf of galleries. - Took the role of PA to the Production Director.
Excellence Award for Contributions to Graveney School. This was due to my involvement with ARTiculation as well as hosting workshops at the school. Moreover for founding the Graveney School History of Art society, focused on cultural and political issues surrounding the History of Art and the Arts more generally.
Ambassador for ARTiculation as a past alumni and London regional finalist at the National Gallery in the 2016/17 competition. In participating in the prize I am able to confidently demonstrate skills in public speaking, developing my overall communicative skills.
