I'm a digital designer, specialising primarily in user interface design for the responsive web (desktop, tablet and mobile) and iOS / Android apps. My work is centered around user experience principles, usability conventions and informed typically by a clear design brief, wireframes and user testing. In addition to the above, I also specialise in graphic design and branding. I'm experienced in brand guideline interpretation and working to a style not necessarily of my own. I undertake the design of logos, typographical treatments, iconography, infographics and the formulation of branding guidelines. Lastly, I am very comfortable with the Agile project methodology and prefer to work directly with (or within) a UX team to realise a cohesive deliverable that is strong in both design and user experience.
Working for one of the UK's leading digital healthcare agencies, I have been undertaking user interface design for a variety of patient level apps and services. Using Illustrator, Photoshop, Sketch and Keynote, I've also been responsible for delivering proof of concepts and internal/external communications.
In my final year, I conducted an investigation into the 'Factors Affecting the Adoption and Diffusion of Web Standards within Web Application Development'. Topics covered were web standards development and the factors affecting standards compliance amongst the web development community, browser vendors and authoring tool developers.
In a regional competition to depict life in Oxfordshire, I came first with a shot of a wild roe deer in an evergreen forest in West Oxfordshire. https://www.flickr.com/photos/amnebient/15927048611/
