Creating, consuming and interacting with music are my driving forces – both personally and professionally. A relentless enthusiasm for underground music, studio recording and making connections in the artist arena has shaped my career to date and drives my aspirations to work within a creative and exciting organisation.
Since graduating from a BA (Hons) in Creative Music Technology at Falmouth University in 2014, I have been fully immersed in music, working as a touring musician and recording artist with a number of musical outfits (The Black Tambourines, Golden Dregs) whilst driving the up and coming music scene in Falmouth, Cornwall. This has provided me with experience in a plethora of industry disciplines, from working as a freelance producer/engineer at the local recording studio (Troubador, run by Chris Gray), booking and promoting sell-out gigs at local music venues, assisting with digital distribution at local record label (Easy Action Records) to working regularly at the local record shop (Jam Records). This experience has been thoroughly rewarding and I have enjoyed being a key player in a close-knit and engaging musical community, but I have a desire to push my career forward and seek the opportunity to work in a creative and fast paced industry.
I am a go-getter; my working practice is efficient and I love pursuing a fledgling idea until it is a fully formed creation. My work is driven by both passion for music and a desire to utilise music to enhance others’ surroundings
