Hi my name is Benji, I'm a multidisciplinary designer with over eight years industry experience across print, digital and identity design.
I’m reliable, self-motivated and really passionate about exploring different avenues of design in order to answer a brief. My work — particularly self initiated projects — often features illustration and the use of language. I really enjoy writing and I think having an appreciation of the written word as part of design process, rather than an afterthought, is invaluable.
Regardless of the project my work is always ideas led — generating an appropriate concept to guide the process and make any outcome so much stronger as a result.

- PiquePique is a London-based company offering gourmet hampers, picnics and catering services. I designed a new identity for the brand that uses a distinctive stripe pattern – reminiscent of cafe awnings and picnic blankets – and a versatile, multi-tone colour palette that allows it to adapt for various applications. Design templates were made for business cards, menu cards and flyers that could be easily changed for seasonal menus and promotions and a set of stickers were designed so that off-the-she
- Handsome Dead MenHandsome Dead Men is an ongoing self-initiated research project that uses found imagery to explore a range of interconnected themes. Portrait photography from digital archives is used as a starting point to explore history, sociology, nature, art and more – not through the well-known figures of history but through images of lesser-known men. All the men lived different lives, with individual vocations and experiences and whether they were rich or poor, well-known in their time or lived in obscur
- Walters Way & Segal CloseWalters Way & Segal Close are two roads in South East London that contain twenty unusual homes, not only in the way they look but in the way they were conceived and built. The original buildings were designed by Modernist architect Walter Segal, part of a local council-run scheme that enabled ordinary people to build their own homes in the early 1980s. Though the original plots are still in use, many of the buildings have been adapted or modified to meet the needs of today’s residents. The book
- 7 Families7Families was a charity led campaign created by the Income Protection Task Force in partnership with Disability Rights UK. The campaign worked to provide a tax-free income for one year to seven different families who have lost income because of a serious or long-term illness or disability. It was clear before the campaign started that any issues raised had to be treated with sensitivity but the families' stories were ultimately intended to be positive - demonstrating how they overcame their adv
- Opto MagazineOpto is a London-based magazine covering markets, trading, investing and business innovation. Published by creative agency Crown and Co. and online trading platform CMC Markets, the idea being that Opto is to CMC as Business Week is to Bloomberg. Though I was a contributing designer and art director for five issues of Opto, pictured here are spreads from Issue 4 where I had most input. For this I designed the majority of the publication’s layouts and commissioned illustrations for the articles,
- South East Makers ClubSouth East Makers Club was established in 2016 with the dual aims of spotlighting the creativity in south east London whilst putting the area firmly on the map during the London Design Festival. Each year the programme includes talks, exhibitions, product launches, a makers market and even a design-themed pub quiz. From 2016–2019 I was part of the small team of volunteers who organised the programme, but in particular I was responsible for developing its visual identity, spanning posters, flyers
