I graduated from the University of Westminster in July last year with a First Class Honours degree in Journalism. Throughout my time at university, I ensured I took all of the opportunities available to develop my skills and become a more rounded journalist. This included taking broadcast modules where I was able to use specialised equipment, create short news features and radio shows. This also led me to undertake an internship with a video production company and I learned valuable skills, including setting up a podcast and getting to grips with Photoshop for post-production purposes.
I am currently working full time as a Business Support Officer for Kent County Council within their adult social care department, based in Medway hospital. This has enabled me to utilise my strong ICT skills and broaden my experience of interacting with people through frequently answering telephone queries, often related to sensitive subjects.
