  • How Coming Out Affects Your Aesthetic
How Coming Out Affects Your AestheticI spoke with James Greig for Vice about the relationship between personal aesthetic and ‘coming out’. I was an interviewee for James' project along with two other respondents. It was cathartic to share my experience of my own gradual aesthetic changes after coming out and I am delighted to have had the opportunity to speak on the issue.

    Glasgow, United KingdomFull Time
I have co-edited eleven articles on Matchstick. I work continuously with contributors from development to publication. I research every quote, statistic and statement to maintain factual accuracy and credibility. My unwavering attention to word choice and grammar ensures structure, flow and ultimately reader engagement. Matchstick Magazine exclusively champions original journalism concerned with social commentary and critique. Our content is diverse and I have edited pieces concerned with socio-political issues, art, culture and interest. From a standing start, we have built and maintained an average of 150 monthly site visits. I manage our three social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram and Twitter) which require both commercial content writing and self-editing. The continued success of Matchstick, in the form of readership, social media presence and interest from contributors, confirms my skills as a writer, editor and publicist.
