About me
I am a British illustrator and designer, based in Gloucestershire. I specialise in digital illustration, working primarily in Procreate and Adobe CC. I apply colour and composition in a signature style that combines modern illustration with retro palettes, which has a broad application and a lasting appeal. My passion for art and fiction inspire my personal work. I relish the challenge of moving between mediums and being a part of communicating great stories, whether that be through editorials, campaigns, products, or an identity. My goal is to create work that is bold, versatile and positive. My background is in graphic design, I have a BA in the subject and a portfolio consisting of branding, illustration, print, digital and advertising projects. I have experience working with clients including aesthetic advisers, Glowday, and Louise Jackson Interiors. As well as freelance work, I have contributed to several online campaigns, including Glug’s ‘Protest By Design’, and ‘Turn Up’, both of which urged young people in the UK to vote. In 2019 I was the recipient of a YCN student award, and my work has since been featured on Vice, Curzon and Moo’s online platforms. In 2017 I opened an online shop where I sell my graphic prints and illustrations to customers worldwide. I’m open to all creative opportunities and challenges, so If you have a project you would like my input on please get in touch!
Projects
  • Britain: Know Your NameAs a response to the black lives matter protests in 2020, I began conducting research into the incredible women of colour who made a historical and cultural impact in British throughout history. I shared the portraits on Instagram and later felt inspired to design a zine inspired by their achievements.
  • Book StacksThe first four in a series of illustrated pieces paying homage to book cover design and the writing of women and LGBTQ+ authors.
  • Times Are Changing // D&AD 2020D&AD Competition Entry 2020 // Google x HMCT Outcomes #timesarechanging is a type-led campaign inspired by Bob Dylan's 1963 folk anthem, 'The Times They Are A' Changin'. The campaign uses nostalgia and type to inspire people to share a kind word, with simple messages that don't patronise but actively encourage people to think and share.
  • Our Home Is On Fire // #PROTESTBYDESIGN"our home is on fire" is my response to glug’s call for designs that inspire young people to vote in the 2019 general election, with a focus on the climate crisis.
  • #TURNUP Submission"Be heard little bird" is my response to #TURNUP campaign's 2019 call for designs. #TURNUP is a campaign to get 18-24-year-olds to vote in the 2019 general election.
