• Working in an internationally acclaimed design studio as part of a team of textile designers
• Preparing fabrics for client meetings.
• Using Illustrator to compile designs for bespoke printed, woven and embroidered carpets and textiles to be sent for manufacture in India and Nepal.
• My role required an in-depth understanding of colour, pattern/design concepts, construction techniques and a variety of materials (including wool, silk, mohair, linen, hemp and viscose yarns) that worked well with the established styles that are unique to Vanderhurd.
• Communicating with Vanderhurd’s international client base via telephone on a daily basis, allowing me to develop a confident professional personality.
