About me

Product Design Engineering undergrad about to graduate (July 2017) from the University of Sussex, Brighton. I love art & design and my culture and experiences play a huge part in my design thinking and philosophy which is to design to facilitate change and adapt to change, to tell a story and to create an emotional reaction or connection. I am also a self taught artist and have developed my process and style through a combination of my skills in graphic design, photography, oil and acrylic painting. I am easy going and more of a listener and explorer, drawn to anything aesthetically pleasing, bright colours & intricate textures. I blog occasionally and hope to travel more to discover hidden design treasures.

  GURG.This is a conceptual branding idea for chocoloate. Current chocolate brands and thier packaging are very graphically busy, animated and mostly directed at children. I am a chocolate lover and I long for a clean chocolate brand with distinct and strong flavour mix. Made for adult chocolate lovers and flavour explorers.
• FORESTThis is a new series of conceptual art I created inspired by texture and people who are alike, such as mother and child, brothers and best friends. They are created with a mixed media process and intended to evoke emotion and curiousity with its aesthetic detail. I am hoping to incorporate these into some products in the near future. I am submitting two of them to the 2017 Hallmark 'Gifted?' competition in collaboration with New Designers.
• PLANT MATTERIn the process of creating a new series of art which can be used in textile design such as on silk scarves and more. I love the diversity of plants and will be a constant in most of my art as I explore the possibilities.
• EMOTION x SYNAESTHESIAThis is part of a short but intense project where I explored the connection and the representation of emotion in its pure form through photography, texture and colour. Using textures found in nature such as sea shells, grass and cacti in combination with strong undiluted colours.
