About me
I thrive at the intersection of deep-tech innovation, venture creation, and investment ecosystems—identifying high-impact ideas, supporting transformative startups, and navigating the frontier of emerging technologies. With a background in biomedical engineering and nanotechnology, I have worked on cutting-edge innovations in regenerative medicine, biomaterials, and antimicrobial resistance solutions, translating complex scientific research into commercially viable applications. At Oxartis, I contributed to the preclinical R&D of a tissue-engineered scaffold for full-thickness wound healing, collaborating with academic and industry partners to refine its development. My MSc dissertation at Oxford University further explored how biomaterial architectures influence cellular behaviour, employing advanced characterisation techniques such as atomic force microscopy (AFM) to map the topological and fibre properties of biomaterial scaffolds at the nano-scale. In parallel, I conducted cell assays to validate how the scaffolds influenced key cellular processes such as adhesion, migration, and proliferation. These in vitro studies provided critical insights into the biological interaction between dermal cells and the scaffolds, ensuring that the designs translated effectively from theory to practice. Beyond technical research, I am drawn to early-stage venture development. I co-developed a startup concept, focused on bacteriophage therapy to combat ICU-acquired infections, winning a pitch competition through a compelling market thesis and financial modelling. My experience in investment evaluation, technoeconomic analysis, and startup financial modelling has allowed me to assess the feasibility of high-risk, high-reward innovations—skills that align with venture capital and talent investing. I am particularly drawn to roles that enable me to identify and support outlier individuals, evaluate deep-tech opportunities, and contribute to building the next generation of transformative companies. Whether through venture capital, talent investing, or startup acceleration, my goal is to bridge technical expertise with strategic investment to help shape the future of science, technology, and entrepreneurship. 🔬 Areas of Focus: Deep-Tech | Biotech | Regenerative Medicine | AI in Science | Venture Creation | Early-Stage Investment 🚀 Ecosystems: Startup Acceleration | Talent Investing | Venture Capital | Innovation Strategy Let’s connect to explore opportunities in startup and venture ecosystems!

  • Investigating the Effect of Tissue Engineering Scaffold Architecture on Cell Morphogenesis
Investigating the Effect of Tissue Engineering Scaffold Architecture on Cell MorphogenesisFibrin-based scaffolds are a promising tissue engineering device, particularly for applications in skin regeneration, due to their bio-inductive properties. This study, conducted in collaboration with Oxartis Ltd., focussed on the design optimisation and characterisation of Oxartis’ flagship scaffold technology, applied to developing fibrin based scaffold for clinical applications in wound healing and regenerative medicine. The study investigated the impact of the architecture, chemical comp

Oxartis an Oxford-based biotech startup developing biomaterial tissue-engineering solutions for skin regeneration. In my role as Product Development Engineer, I have completed the following: • Developed a product R&D roadmap involving cell culture studies, large dataset manipulation using Excel, analytical product characterisation techniques, and manufacturing protocol optimisation of the ProMatrix Bioderm tissue engineering scaffold product, designed to treat full-thickness skin loss. • Worked effectively to organise and conduct 100+ research studies between cross-functional collaborating lab groups at Oxartis, the University of Oxford, and University College London. • Implemented and optimised an AI characterisation product, using Python for data processing and analysis, and presented key findings (including model performance metrics) to senior management, driving project alignment with company strategy. • Effectively presented the product’s scientific principles to academics and demoed its manufacture and characterisation techniques (e.g., scanning electron microscopy) to 50+ visiting members of both academia and industry.
