  • I am the co-founder of an educational startup under Solomon. In addition to that I am also the teacher mentor of some 30 students, playing the role of both a teacher and a role model. Furthermore, I reviewed education programmes and worked on initiatives to give the students a better learning experience. Throughout the journey, I picked up essential critical thinking and time management skills through working on the startup. While acting as a teacher, I learnt valuable communication and interpersonal skills. Reviewing programmes honed my problem solving skills and put my creativity to test.

  • I was in charge of planning workshops for students and served as a mentor to students who embark on their fundraising projects. In addition, I am involved in various meetings with sponsors which I was given the opportunity to pitch for sponsorships. Furthermore, I interviewed applicants who applied to join the organisations. Creativity and critical skills were sharpened during the planning stage for the workshops whereas communication and leaderships skills were honed while serving as a mentor. Public speaking skills were learnt through pitching and the interviewing.

  • Military training conditions at initial stages were especially harsh, I learnt effective pressure management skills from having to deal with demands of commanders. Once put in charge of the Signal Store, I honed my organisational and creative skills by monitoring some 300 high classification radios and setting up new systems to ensure systemic transactions of the military items. Through dealing with higher ranking commanders from external units, I have learnt communication skills and interpersonal skills, allowing me to deal with people with authority, as well as those coming from various cultures and backgrounds.
