I have gained experience running a business as a self-employed DJ. Within this role I Iearnt to be self-motivated, well organised and it taught me how to work well and effectively with clients and co-workers from different backgrounds. From within the workshops I taught I was able to provide information in a clear and concise manner. My work with different bands, theatre productions and performing for large crowds taught me to work within tight schedules and how to manage stress productively. I have built up and maintained a good network of colleagues within my field and have set up tours and radio shows abroad.
I am flexible as I have worked on different music projects as well as working on a full time basis. Working as a Security Officer I proved to myself that I can work with attention to detail and am a quick learner when it comes to software. Within my customer service, telemarketing and HR roles I worked and communicated effectively both verbally and written with all levels of staff and clients
Projects
- ISHFor 5 ('99-04) years I toured around The Netherlands, as well as in Belgium, Canada and the USA with dance/skate/theatre group ISH. I DJ-ed live on stage during all shows, gave workshops and performed at schools and corporate functions. Some of the highlights were shows in Royal Theatre Carre Amsterdam, on national TV and with Toneelgroep Amsterdam.
- Performing DJ/turntablist with Scat The BreakdanceFrom 2004 - 2010 I performed throughout the Netherlands with crossover music act Scat The Breakdance. The band consisted of 2 break/streetdancers, one electric violin player and a DJ. Performances were done at schools sometimes a workshop would be given in addition.
- Performing DJ/TurntablistAs a member of DJ/turntablist crews Wax Wankerz and Turntable Rockstars I performed shows in well known venues around Holland such as Melkweg, Paradiso and Vredenburg. The performances were done with 3 to 5 members, depending on the gig. We did shows at hip-hop parties, corporate functions, appeared on national TV , in Dutch Hip-Hop book Van Brooklyn naar Breukelen, performed with The Radio Philharmonic Orchestra and toured with theatre group ISH on their Kicks tour in 2003.
