About me
Brenda Lukwago is the designer for the contemporary womenswear brand LUKWAGO the walks the line between fashion, art and femininity. And the brand celebrate the quirky modern sophisticated everyday woman. Each collection pushes the boundaries of innovation by exploring details and techniques that achieve a balance in wearability and design LUKWAGO is a young brand that was brought together by Swedish raised designer Brenda Lukwago, whilst completing her studies at The London College of Fashion, London. Later going on to graduate from Heriot Watt University with a Bachelor of Honours degree in Fashion Design. Branching with roots from Uganda and also being raised in Sweden, Brenda infuses both cultures into her design work, drawing inspiration from everything around her, from tessellated prints, bold patterns to floral prints, bringing together strong, unique pieces with a differential touch.  These cultural aspects successfully combine characteristics from both backgrounds, showing exactly how details play important and specific key roles in her projects whilst showing off her creative and professional hand for cutting techniques in her work.
