About me
I am a creative thinker with a true passion for design of all kinds. I am a multidisciplinary designer with particular strengths in branding and translating big ideas across multiple platforms. I pay a close attention to the details and apply my appreciation of all things well-crafted to my work producing thoughtful, considered and effective design outcomes with creative flair. I'm looking for internships at creative design agencies which will challenge me and help me to develop as a designer.
Projects
  • HEINZ REBRAND
HEINZ REBRANDReimagine a famous brand. This project was a competition brief set by Design Bridge and asked us to reincarnate a famous brand. They were looking for a 'breakthrough' idea that challenged preconceptions about the brand. I chose to take a risk and take on a large and very familiar brand; Heinz. I noticed that Heinz products are often store cupboard essentials which are used when someone is not at their best; tomato soup when you are ill, beans when you're hungover, spaghetti hoops when you're b
  • D&AD JOHN LEWIS
D&AD JOHN LEWISReinvent home delivery for John Lewis How can the in-store experience be emulated online to provide a home delivery service which is equally aspirational and desirable? By bringing John Lewis home. This solution aims to build upon the personal aspects of the John Lewis brand by using a letter as a tool to communicate and engage with the customer in a familiar context. Receiving a parcel from John Lewis should feel akin to receiving a letter from an old friend. John Lewis would reward its loyal customers by allowing them to a collect stamp every time they make a purchase. Once a certain amount of stamps have been collected, they can be redeemed in store for exclusive discounts or rewards at the in-store John Lewis cafés. This would serve as a means to encourage online shoppers to experience John Lewis in-store, as well as online. A personalised homepage would appear on the website and would display the customer’s current collection of stamps allowing the customer to keep track of their order history and encourage further purchases via the website.
  • YCN ROYAL COURT THEATRE
YCN ROYAL COURT THEATREBring to life the story of how the play reaches the stage. The brief asked us to inform the existing Royal Court Theatre audience of the journey that the writers and their plays go on, before they reach the stage. Putting the Writer in the Spotlight Rather than the putting the actors in the spotlight, it was time for the writers to take centre stage. I formed a poster campaign around this idea by visually representing a spotlight, highlighting each stage of the writer’s process. The full series of posters conveying the stages of the process: write, edit, submit, consider, rehearse & perform.
  • ZINE SERIES
ZINE SERIESWithout the aid of a computer, produce a Zine on a chosen topic. In collaboration with Anna Parker. A series of zines which visually explore a chosen topic through various patterns and images. Each zine was produced without the aid of a computer; all the images and typography were completely hand-rendered by Anna and I. This project allowed us to indulge ourselves in our love of craft and also to explore projects away from computer screens. Issue #1 - Façade Issue #2 - Jarring
  • TEXTILE DESIGN CATALOGUE
TEXTILE DESIGN CATALOGUEProposal for the Textile Design Catalogue This was a live project set by the Textile Design course at Falmouth University. We were asked to create a proposal for their end of degree catalogue. The catalogue needed to show off each student's work, look professional, sleek and classy and come in on budget. After creating a series of mock ups and pitching my ideas to representatives from the course, this is my final mock up. I produced a sample of the catalogue to show how the catalogue would work. Each student has their own spread with a large, full page image of their work as well as a triangular swatch and a rectangular panel which provide the opportunity to show the adaptibility of the work in different formats. Each student also submitted a description of their work as well as contact details which were a crucial element as this piece was to be used as a networking tool.
  • A STORY OF LUCK
A STORY OF LUCKTell the story of a memory in an engaging way. I chose to tell the story of my good luck charm; a ring which I had frequently relied upon until it became increasingly ineffective. The luck had appeared to have run out. I chose to visually represent the idea that there were a finite number of times the lucky charm was effective by filling a book with perforrated luck tokens. Throughout the book, the tokens become increasingly sparce alluding to the fact that the luck had a limited amount of uses and was running out.
