    • End to end project management of my own portfolio of c.40 internal and external events per annum including; VIP receptions, conferences, roundtables, communities of practice, board meetings, and seminars for key stakeholders such as; MPs and civil servants, high net worth individuals, celebrities, business leaders, representatives of the education and voluntary sectors, contractors, and graduates of NCS. Managing Budgets up to approx. £200k • End to end project management one of the Trust’s three annual flagship events (NCS Leaders). Due to the scale of this event and it's relatively limited budget it was crucial to foster and leverage key relationships to provide things such as free venue space and keynote speakers as the majority of the budget went to transporting attendees in from across the UK and Ireland, as well as hiring the University of Roehampton for a week to use as one of four main venues across London. • Managing the Trust’s presence at the three main political party conferences. This ranged from exhibition stands to participating in panel events and attending relevant fringe events in the evening. This was an extremely complex event as in previous years there had been a lot of press around the Trust's attendance and spend so it was vital to keep all spend to a minimum but still ensure our presence was at the same level, if not higher, as other organisations in attendance. • Line managing an events apprentice on event coordinator duties and providing roles within my events to help develop their understanding of the events process as well as take responsibility for certain aspects of key events. • Supporting the Head of Events with the delivery of several high-profile internal and external events such as; annual board of patrons meeting chaired by David Cameron and hosted in Heron Tower, the Commonwealth Youth Forum Introduction Day as part of the wider CHOGM 2018 Assembly (which saw us deliver a series of workshops and talks in the council chamber at London City Hall to c.300 delegates representing all 53 commonwealth nations), and the Trust’s involvement with the Armistice Day Commemorations on Pal Mal and in Westminster Cathedral. • Sourcing and negotiating preferential rates and deals with event suppliers, as well as working closely with the procurement team to negotiate travel and accommodation costs and drive efficiencies where possible. • Hosting fortnightly steering meetings for my large-scale projects and communicating effectively across the business with all project stakeholders, comms, creative, PMO, finance and legal and up to Chief level.
