Working within the Campaign Management team in the wider Commercial Department I work to deliver a wide range of events for News UK's creative solutions campaigns and trade marketing activity. Events include business breakfasts, debates, awards ceremonies, networking events receptions and parties. My responsibilities include: • Working with the Creative Solutions managers to ensure the event elements of sponsorship deals are deliverable in terms of time and budget. • Helping to manage operations and logistics on large scale events, and taking sole responsibility for managing smaller ones. This includes planning, creative decision making, liaising with vendors, dealing with any on-site issues that may arise and assisting with on-site production and on the day event running. • Taking responsibility for all event-related administration and ensuring it’s completed effectively and in a timely manner. • Managing multiple events simultaneously. • Working closely with editorial teams across The Times, Sunday Times and The Sun to research and source relevant speakers and delegates. • Handling post-event communications, evaluation and reporting. • Developing and maintaining strong client and partner relationships.

My responsibilities include: • Managing membership and brand events from idea generation to final wrap up and analysis; • Coordinating the regional events program for The Times and Sunday Times membership scheme; • Identifying and engaging new partners and venues for membership events across the UK; • Proof reading and editing both online and print content; • On ground event management; • Managing print advertising requirements for the events team and external partners; • Developing and implementing new processes and procedures to improve team efficiency.
Key Responsibilities Included: • Managing and coordinating international and national travel for large groups of individual performers; • Scheduling and coordinating rehearsals, media and other commitments for touring performers; • Preparing and disseminating detailed artist itineraries; • Artist negotiation including contractual, travel and visa requirements; • Monitoring project budgets (including requisitioning and purchasing); • Complying with agreed project timelines and milestones; • Preparing manuals for standardised work procedures; • On ground support and trouble shooting for touring international and national performers; • Managing and coordinating ground transport requirements for over 500 festival artists; • Organising social events and hospitality for performers; • Managing diary, travel and finance requirements for senior staff.
Key Responsibilities Included: • Programming three nights of live music, including 80 local and interstate acts in 20 Adelaide venues; • Building relationships with prominent music managers, promoters, festival directors, writers, musicians and radio presenters; • Arranging travel and accommodation for interstate bands and 40 national and international conference speakers; • Preparing artist and speaker contracts; • Training and managing volunteers including rosters; • Researching, booking and coordinating all catering for the conference, including cocktail receptions, dinners and conference lunches; • Troubleshooting all issues during the event, including working with a rainy outdoor event at the 2011 Adelaide Fringe opening night.
